         Dr Shruti Mondkar Desai

Dr. Shruti Mondkar has completed her M.B.B.S. and MD (Paediatrics) from Seth

G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. She has completed her fellowship in

Paediatric Endocrinology from Jehangir Hospital, Pune followed by a fellowship under the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool, UK.

 

She has expertise in paediatric and adolescent endocrine (hormonal) disorders. She has

special interest in growth and pubertal disorders, paediatric diabetes, thyroid and metabolic bone disorders, obesity, hypoglycemic disorders, disorders of sex development, adrenal disorders.

 

Her academic achievements are noteworthy with several awards and gold medals at

university and college levels. She is as avid researcher and has more than 40 publications in national and international journals. She has been a part of various multicentre clinical trials for growth hormone therapy. Her research work in growth, bone age, diabetes and bone mineral density has won her multiple awards at conferences, including the Young Investigator Award by the Indian Society for Paediatric & Adolescent Endocrinology.

 

She is an active member of the International Society for Pediatric & Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD), Indian Society for Paediatric & Adolescent Endocrinology (ISPAE) and Indian Academy of Pediatrics, and has

been faculty for workshops on growth monitoring, height prediction and the use of technology in type 1 Diabetes management.
